Job description Seeking a technically minded and solutions-focused salesperson, ideally with an electrical background (such as an industrial electrician) to join the Illawarra's leading industrial electrical engineering & manufacturing company. Operating fully equipped hi-spec workshops to design, manufacture, test, install and maintain electrical equipment and power solutions, including overhaul & testing of large motors (11KV). In this Sales Engineer position you will engage directly with clients to understand their electrical needs, and provide back to them technical expertise and solutions, including new equipment, repairs and overhauls. ROLE Understand customer requirements, provide technical solutions tailored to their needs, present and demonstrate our products and services to potential customers. Prepare, negotiate, and deliver technical presentations/contracts for clients. Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify new business opportunities. Build and maintain relationships with existing and new clients through regular communication. Provide technical support to customers throughout the sales process and after-sales support. YOU Trade or Tertiary qualifications in the Electrical field (electrical trade preferable). Technical & on-the-job sales training for those seeking a career change. Capability in developing and resolving technical issues and presenting the solution to your customer. Excellent communication skills, and ability to develop and maintain professional relationships. Knowledge of electrical equipment, machinery & industrial applications. Experience in sales and business development is desirable, and experience developing proposals and presenting solutions to customers is highly regarded.
