The College commenced at the beginning of the 2014 school year with 143 students and has grown to a current size of 2,300 students and 250 staff. Currently, the College structures are a Kindergarten, Primary Years P-5 and Secondary Years 6-12. During 2025, the College will transition to a Primary P-6 and Secondary 7-12 model. Selection Criteria SC1: Demonstrated expert knowledge of the relevant curriculum and ability to model exemplary teaching practice, including the teaching of literacy and numeracy skills across the curriculum. SC2: Demonstrated expertise in the implementation and modelling of high impact teaching strategies that respond to student learning needs. SC3: Ability to model the monitoring and assessment of student learning, supporting others in using data to inform teaching practice. SC4: Exemplary interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage in collaborative relationships with students, colleagues, parents, and the broader school community. SC5: Ability to model behaviours and attitudes consistent with Department values and support others to reflect on their practice. Role Learning Specialists will be highly skilled classroom practitioners who spend the majority of their time in the classroom delivering high-quality teaching and learning. Responsibilities include teaching demonstration lessons, observing and providing feedback to other teachers, and facilitating school-based professional learning. Responsibilities Key roles of the Learning Specialists may include but are not limited to: Demonstrating high-level expertise in teaching and learning practice. Modelling exemplary classroom practice. Leading and modelling the implementation of whole-school improvement strategies. Providing professional learning and feedback to teaching staff. Supervising and training student teachers. Modelling exemplary use of student data to inform teaching approaches. Who May Apply Teachers currently registered or eligible for registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching and qualified to teach in the specified curriculum area(s).
