Join to apply for the Senior Advisor (Communications) role at Department of Transport and Main Roads We are offering an exciting temporary opportunity for an experienced Senior Advisor (Communications) to join our dynamic Communications Team within the Business Services Unit of the Policy, Planning, and Investment (PPI) Division. In this role, you will play a key part in developing impactful communication materials that support PPI’s vital work in shaping and defining strategies, policies, and investment plans. PPI is dedicated to advancing an integrated transport system that ensures the safe and efficient movement of people and goods while delivering meaningful value to the community. In the role of Senior Advisor (Communications), you will provide professional support in the development of communication materials for the Policy, Planning and Investment Division. Some Of Your Responsibilities Will Include: Develop and implement internal communication campaigns. Liaise with divisional project managers to identify communication issues and develop and implement proactive measures for issues management and communication activities. Provide advice to relevant areas across the division on issues management, communication strategies and on improving relationships with key stakeholders and the community. Manage suppliers responsible for producing relevant communication material including brochures, posters, promotional materials, advertising, video, photography and accessibility activities. Prepare and design a wide range of communication materials and tools in accordance with the department's guidelines and approvals to meet objectives, including: Internal newsletters. Media Releases. Media enquiries. Speeches. Fact sheets. Advertisements. Display material. Social media copy for LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter and Viva Engage. Graphic design and videography (filming, editing and producing). Annual report coordination. Publication.
