Senior Analyst, Business Risk & Compliance About Cbus Created by workers, for workers, Cbus Super is one of Australia’s most successful Superannuation funds. For almost four decades we’ve proudly represented those who help shape Australia, hard-working individuals who deserve to make the most of their retirement, no matter the industry. As an award-winning fund we’ve been recognised for the benefits provided to our members and our innovative investment approach, all while staying committed to our member-first ethos as a proud Industry Fund. About the role We’re looking for a Senior Analyst, Business Risk & Compliance (SAR-MEX) to play a pivotal role in our Line 1 Business Risk & Compliance team supporting the Member & Employer Experience (MEX) division. Reporting to the Head of Business Risk & Compliance – MEX, you’ll partner with key stakeholders to strike the right balance between risk and reward, ensuring optimal member outcomes and strong business performance. Your role will be to help the MEX business to interact with the CBUS risk management framework, making sure risks are well-documented, controls are effective, and compliance obligations are met. Using your reporting and data skills (including Power BI), you'll transform complex data into clear insights that inform smarter decision-making. Your expertise will help strengthen risk monitoring, reporting, and mitigation strategies, ensuring potential issues are addressed before they become problems. Beyond the data, you’ll play a key role in training and advising stakeholders, helping them understand risk, implement controls, and develop action plans. You’ll also build strong relationships across teams, ensuring a collaborative, proactive approach to risk management. In short, you’ll help turn risk into opportunity, drive smarter decisions, and keep the business ahead of potential challenges. About you With a strong background in compliance and risk management, ideally in superannuation or financial services, you excel at identifying, assessing, and managing risk with precision. You don’t just follow frameworks; you embed risk management into business strategy, ensuring controls are effective and aligned with enterprise objectives. Your reporting and insights expertise goes beyond data analysis with your knack for uncovering trends, drawing insights, and communicating compelling risk stories that drive smarter decisions. You thrive in a fast-paced environment, applying commercial acumen and analytical thinking to create real business impact. Organised and adaptable, you manage multiple projects seamlessly while keeping the bigger picture in focus. You’re a natural collaborator, and you build strong relationships, influence stakeholders, and foster a proactive risk culture that strengthens the business. We’re keen to hear from you If you've read through the requirements of this role and you feel like you haven’t fully met the criteria, we would still encourage you to apply. We're aware of accessibility barriers when it comes to applying for a job and we want to help.
