Job Description About the Role The Portfolio team leads business planning, drive business process improvement, improve project and portfolio governance and management maturity, and embed change management capabilities across the College. Its main objective is to enable improved delivery of services to members and to support the College in the successful delivery of key projects and achievement of its strategy. The focus of Senior Business Analyst role is to work closely with business, digital and technology stakeholders to gain in- depth understanding of business strategy, processes, products and services, roadmaps, and document capabilities needed to address business challenges. Key Accountabilities Perform a lead role in driving improvements in organisational performance through business process improvements and transformation, developing value-adding core business frameworks, including investigating, analysing and documenting business processes and the underlying business capabilities for system or process areas. Lead and facilitate business capability mapping and business process mapping to support the achievement of strategy, solve complex problems, effectively implement change, and drive continuous improvement Work collaboratively with IT to develop the Enterprise Architecture Framework and maintain a repository of business capabilities, technology, infrastructure, organisational structure to support alignment with strategy, policies, processes, and frameworks Work collaboratively with People & Culture, Change and other College business units to drive improvements in capabilities across the College, analysing capability maturity and ensuring broad engagement and enable effective implementation of improvements Manage and coach direct report, Business Analyst Support the development of a business improvement work plan, to address capability maturity priorities through targeted program of process improvement, and identifying efficiency opportunities that can be reinvested through simplification and standardisation Conduct thorough diagnosis of business processes and operations, document and present recommendations and provide detailed assessment of cost, benefits, and risks Facilitate workshops and projects with broad cross-section of stakeholders, customers, and partners to deliver the right outcome Desired Skills and Experience Relevant tertiary qualifications and/or equivalent knowledge gained through a combination of education, training and/or experience in a similar role 5+ years professional experience working in business transformation, business analysis or equivalent experience in a broad-based business environment, including well developed business and needs analysis skills Extensive experience managing the review and analysis of complex business processes and services in complex organisations, including relevant qualifications or equivalent Superior level analytical skills Ability to review information, identify trends, problems and opportunities and compile these for decision makers Ability to undertake detailed workflow management and process mapping Superior level capability in generating compelling insights from analysis Ability to critically analyse issues and problems and propose innovative and fit for purpose solutions aligned with strategic and business priorities Ability to re-exam existing practices and processes, generating new ideas and implementing improvements Advanced consultation, influencing and negotiation skills and proven ability to engage effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders at different levels within an organisation to achieve successful outcomes Interested?
