About the Role: Join our innovative team at a major federal government agency, where you'll work on our data warehouse platform. Your focus will be on updating documentation, peer reviewing data designs, and collaborating with key business areas to develop reports and analytics that tackle emerging trends and risks. Key Responsibilities: Set and maintain standards for data modelling, development, and release. Conduct knowledge transfer sessions on best practices in data development. Lead the technical implementation of data from analysis to delivery, including defining steps and best practices. Drive continuous improvement in delivery principles, coding standards, and documentation with training sessions for the team. Prioritize tasks, analyze user requirements, and develop/optimize SQL and ETL code. Work within a modern DevOps environment, collaborating with diverse teams like data consumers and IT support. Requirements: Must be an Australian citizen. 4+ years of experience in similar roles, with proficiency in at least 2 of the following: Data Bricks, Snowflake, and Teradata Vantage. Demonstrated skill with an ETL tool like Talend, DBT, or Matillion. Good knowledge of Data Warehouse architecture and modelling techniques. Essential skills in SQL, with Python or similar languages preferred. Understanding of DevOps processes and tools, competency in version control, and proficiency in Excel. Tertiary qualifications in mathematics, statistics, or computer science, or equivalent experience. Responses to specified criteria (both essential and desirable) are mandatory in your application.
