We are working closely with one of our key government clients to secure them an experienced Senior Deployment Officer, Service Management.This role will provide technical leadership in the operation, management and optimisation of this organisation’s managed operating environment and deployment function.What you will be involved with: Reporting to the EUC and Productivity Lead, you will work closely with stakeholders and service delivery teams to ensure seamless connectivity between client demand and the delivery of services and/or solutions with a focus on value delivery.You will also review compliance reports and adoption patterns to identify opportunities to enhance user experience, security and service and to better support organisational objectives.Key requirements: Deploy and configure software application changes for supported computer systems and investigate, analyse and resolve system issues that occur in lower and production environments as they occur; Maintain and administer the Managed Operating Environment (MOE) across this organisation’s fleet with a particular emphasis on security, interoperability, hardware and software compatibility, patching and compliance with best practice controls and governance; Develop, implement and maintain internal technical documentation, manuals, policies and processes ensuring effective and efficient governance arrangements are in place to manage the documenting, implementing and evaluating of SCCM/Intune operations and improvements (includes deployment procedures); Review and analyse service delivery performance to identify and implement opportunities for innovation and improvement in the SCCM/Intune platforms and image management function, that create and extend business benefits, optimise cost and performance of services and mitigate technical and business risks; Ensure major incidents are effectively communicated and managed and recommend effective deployment of solutions and workaround to achieve timely resolution of issues and/or provide strategies and solutions to assess, mitigate and escalate risks and issues to achieve positive outcomes; Liaise, engage and consult with key internal and external stakeholders in the development and sustainability of the SCCM and Intune platforms, resolving issues within tight timeframes and ensuring cost-effective outcomes are achieved within a constantly changing business environment. Highly desirable requirements: Experience and certification in Microsoft deployment and EUC management technologies and systems such as SCCM and Intune; Experience in MS Windows server administration, windows scripting (PowerShell), application packaging and Microsoft Active Directory; Experience and/or certification in ITIL 4 Foundations; and Sound understanding and familiarity with Knowledge-Centered Support (KCS) principles and practices.
