Job Description

Title: Senior Director, Program Management Location: Brisbane, CA About Us: Vera Therapeutics (Nasdaq: VERA) is a late clinical-stage biotechnology company focused on developing treatments for serious immunological diseases. For more information, please visit: . Position Summary We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Director, Program Management, reporting to the VP, Product and Portfolio Management. The ideal candidate will manage a group of project managers and work with the Commercial team to coordinate and oversee the planning and execution of the Atacicept launch in alignment with corporate and commercial goals. Responsibilities: Manage and mentor a team of project managers, fostering professional development and enhancing team performance. Develop and execute comprehensive project plans, timelines, and budgets for product launch and pre-launch while ensuring strategic alignment with organizational objectives. Oversee project managers to integrate timelines and deliverables into the overall launch plans. Support the development and maintenance of the Smartsheet environment necessary to manage the launch, including creating and maintaining templates and dashboards, setting up automation, and transferring existing plans. Act as a liaison between Commercial leaders and functional teams, gathering and disseminating key decisions and updates across cross-functional workstreams and activities. Lead the cross-functional team to coordinate commercial operations, marketing, market access, and sales initiatives, driving alignment and execution of business strategies. Integrate activities and timelines with other functional areas, including Clinical, Medical Affairs, Clinical Operations, Clinical Development, and Regulatory. Provide project management support for commercial meetings and events. May support other programs as necessary. Qualifications: BA/BS degree with 12+ years of biotechnology industry experience required. In-depth knowledge of aspects of the biopharmaceutical industry and biologic development is preferred. Demonstrated people management skills, specifically in managing other project managers. Experience in Commercial Operations and product launches preferred, but not required. Experience with Smartsheet is preferred, but not required. High level of accuracy and attention to detail. Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Project, and Visio, or other timeline tools. Ability to work with ambiguity and create new, more efficient processes. Desire to bring order and organization to a newly developing organization. Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders across the organization at all levels. Proven ability to manage competing priorities, budgets, and timelines in a fast-paced, rapidly growing environment. Highly skilled at working collaboratively with cross-functional teams and contractors to drive results and meet company objectives. Ability to distill, organize, and effectively communicate (verbal and written) key messages from complex discussions. Self-directed and proactive, with the ability to function independently in certain situations, exercise good judgment, and respond quickly and effectively to changing environments. For this role, the anticipated base pay range is $194,000 - $212,000. The exact base pay offered for this role will depend on various factors, including but not limited to the candidate’s geography, qualifications, skills, and experience. At Vera, base pay is only one part of your total compensation package. The successful candidate will be eligible for an annual performance incentive bonus, new hire equity, and ongoing performance-based equity.
