The Senior Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Advisor plays a crucial role in supporting the Health Service Chief Executive and the Executive Director of Workforce by developing and implementing workforce strategies that promote diversity, equity, and inclusion within healthcare services. Central Queensland (CQ) Health's Workforce Division plays an integral role in the effective management of the people resources for our service. The Division takes the lead role in the attraction, retention, learning and development, performance, discipline, change management, safety and well-being and engagement of our most important asset - “our people”. About the role: The Senior Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Advisor undertakes projects to support the Health Service Chief Executive and Executive Director Workforce with developing, implementing and embedding systems and processes for diverse, equitable and inclusive workforce strategies to enhance delivery of our healthcare services. The Senior Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Advisor provides support and assistance in the timely delivery of the diversity, equity and inclusion program of work in Central Queensland Hospital and Health Service (CQHHS) to align with Chapter 2, Public Service Act 2022 requirements. About you: Whilst not mandatory, possession of a relevant tertiary qualification or experience gained in a similar Human Resources/People and Culture advisory or support role with a focus on diversity, equity and inclusion objectives and strategies would be highly regarded. Demonstrated high level interpersonal skills, manages conflict appropriately, communicates effectively and balances the needs of all stakeholders, with utmost respect to all people at all times. Proven ability to collaborate effectively, develop talent, value differences and build effective teams to bring about best use of resources to deliver services. Demonstrated ability to research, collate and create high level professional reports and actions plans.
