This role is based at Port Macquarie with the ability to work from home in a hybrid work environment.If so, then we would like to hear from you! About The Role Within the role, you will be working with a team that is made up of supportive and collaborative professionals, that strive to achieve excellent results, take pride in their attention to detail and ensure that there is positive satisfaction from all internal and external stakeholders in the delivery of their high-quality designs.As the Civil Designer within the substation design team, you would be responsible for the successful delivery of civil designs, technical evaluations across a broad range of technical functions relating to design, including development of new criteria and applications of knowledge and procedures for design services. The role will also require the responsibility for the management and evaluation of network equipment and procedures, while assisting in the continuous improvement of design processes and systems.About Your Experience Are you someone who:Can think outside the box and look holistically at design problems? Is able to break down complex problems and synthesise these into easy to understand and smaller manageable tasks? Has extensive experience in a similar Civil/structural Design engineering role in the Energy/Electrical and/or Utilities Industry? Has complete knowledge and application of current design philosophies, procedures, statutory requirements including Safe Design? Has demonstrated experience to utilise analytical and technical knowledge to provide appropriate solutions to technical/engineering issues in the Energy Network Technical environment? About Your Skills We are looking for someone who has:Strong attention to detail and commitment to produce quality work. Strong time management skills and well organised, to be able to handle a varying complex workload. Demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making skills with the ability to manage diverse and complex issues. Effective communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to deliver technical services in a professional and timely manner. Advanced knowledge of 2D and 3D CAD systems, drawing quality control and management practices. Required Qualifications Associate degree or Advanced Diploma of Civil Engineering or demonstrated capability through past employment experience and/or relevant qualifications.
