Your New Role As a Senior Manager, Data , you will be responsible for building a new sub-function within Front Office Business Support who will manage broad data requests from various internal and external sources, requiring expert data skills, a deep understanding of data governance, and strong analytical skills. This role involves leading a team of 2 in Sydney to centralise the production and governance processes for data survey report requests. You will design and enhance processes, ensure data accuracy, as well as present survey data results in various formats to a range of key stakeholders. Day-to-Day Responsibilities: Team Leadership: Oversee and guide a team of 2 in the production and governance of survey reports. Process Design: Develop and implement processes and controls for new survey report requests. Production Oversight: Ensure the accurate and timely production of survey reports, adhering to best practices. Data Management: Source, filter, and manage data required for survey reports, ensuring data integrity and accuracy. Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with Front Office, Legal, Technology, and other COO functions to stay updated on market changes and ensure alignment with survey requirements. SME Advisory: Provide subject matter expertise and best practice guidance to other functions on survey report production and governance. Continuous Improvement: Identify and implement improvements in survey report production processes. Reporting: Produce reports in Excel and Word, and ensure harmonized reporting formats (XML) when required. Communication: Present updates and survey data results to senior management for review, and explain reports to legal teams if necessary. Market Awareness: Stay informed about market products, especially bonds and FX. What You'll Need to Succeed Strong understanding of market products, especially bonds and FX. Business Analyst experience, with a focus on analysing requirements and building processes to source accurate data High proficiency in Excel tools, including MACRO/VBA. Excellent data management skills, including filtering, sourcing, and producing accurate and meaningful data. Strong people skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with traders, internal and external parties, and explain reports to various stakeholders Attention to detail and ability to set up data controls. Familiarity with Murex (desirable) and Wallstreet (desirable).
