We’re looking for a Senior Manager of Safeguarding and Compliance to join our team on a 12-month fixed-term contract with potential for extension. This newly created role will oversee compliance and reporting related to the National Law and the Education and Care National Regulations, as well as state-based reportable conduct requirements and other regulatory obligations. You will be accountable for developing and implementing a comprehensive framework for safeguarding and compliance, ensuring that all standards are met and maintained. Key Responsibilities: Develop and operationalise a framework embedding child safety and wellbeing into organisational leadership, governance and culture. Oversee the identification, documentation, and reporting of all reportable incidents in compliance with state-based requirements and company policies. Ensuring timely and accurate reporting of incidents, including follow-up action and updates as required. Identify and assess compliance-related risks, developing strategies to mitigate and manage these risks effectively. Lead, coach and develop the compliance team. Regularly review and update reporting processes and documentation to align with changes in regulatory requirements and best practices. Develop and execute strategies to support operations staff on compliance-related topics, ensuring a thorough understanding of regulatory requirements, child safe principles and company policies. Requirements: Compliance and safeguarding background from any human services or health background. Certification in compliance, such as a Certificate IV in Compliance and Risk Management, is beneficial. Multiple years of experience in the early childhood education sector or a related field. Proven experience in regulatory compliance, particularly with the National Quality Framework (NQF) and state-based reportable conduct requirements. Experience in leading, managing and developing teams in fast-paced environments. Comfortable and skilled at drawing clear compliance insights. A confident communicator who has the presence and conviction to engage effectively with stakeholders and build genuine professional partnerships. Ability to obtain a Working with Children Check.
