Senior Projects Officer – Capital Works Permanent - Full Time Salary Range: $94,412.76 – $102,394.76 per annum plus 11.5% Superannuation Location: Morwell Department: Capital Works Do you want to make an IMPACT? The Role We have an exciting opportunity to join our Capital Works team as a Senior Projects Officer.The Senior Project Officer provides support to the Capital Works Projects team and other relevant areas of the organisation in the development of project scoping for the upgrading and maintenance of Council Assets.Other duties will include: Carrying out investigations regarding civil infrastructure for current and future works to be completed. Managing construction projects and assets maintenance works currently underway within the municipality. Construction supervision of Council projects and carrying out Council Hold Point inspections for subdivision works, as required. About You For this position, we are seeking a highly skilled individual with the ability to provide effective and efficient completion of assigned tasks in conformance with legislative requirements, regulations, Council’s policies, accepted engineering standards and practices, and approved budget.Develop and/or improve methods and techniques used to carry out the goals of this position.You will have: A Degree or advanced Diploma in Engineering, or Civil Construction Design, or other relevant field with some relevant experience or substantial experience within civil construction. Proven contract management skills and ability to work as part of a team to develop a good internal working environment. Current Victorian Drivers Licence. Desirable: Good business skills relating to the successful operation of a Capital Works Project Team. Additional studies or professional development related to municipal engineering and management/finance. Experience in local government engineering/project management role.
