Senior Project Officer, Clerk Grade 9/10 - Targeted Recruitment (Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander) Drive the vision for improving community safety outcomes with Aboriginal Peoples across NSW Join a volunteer-based agency that supports communities of NSW Full time temporary role until approx. July 2027 with the possibility of extension Location: Wollongong This is a targeted recruitment for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders in accordance with Rule 26 of the Government Sector Employment (General) Rules 2014 - Employment of eligible persons. As such, preference will be given to candidates who meet the established standards of the role and identify as Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander. About the opportunity Develop and foster trusted, strong relationships with Aboriginal Communities across NSW Plan and implement projects that improve relationships and connections with Aboriginal Communities across NSW Work collaboratively with leaders, communities and other agencies to deliver projects and engagement programs that enable the achievement of agency and community goals. About you To be successful in this role you will: Demonstrate the ability to manage consultations and negotiations with diverse stakeholders, balancing competing interests and demands Act independently with autonomy, using initiative to deliver high-quality projects on time and within budget Have experience in leading and managing teams, fostering an inclusive culture, and building capacity to engage with Aboriginal communities Exhibit strong strategic and lateral thinking skills, with the ability to develop practical solutions and innovative strategies Possess high level communication skills, including the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely to diverse audiences Have experience in planning, coordinating, and controlling projects, ensuring effective stakeholder engagement and rigorous evaluation methodologies. What we can offer you You will enjoy a 35-hour work week, with the potential for flexible work arrangements such as a nine-day fortnight or a four-day work week depending on the requirements of the role and operational needs. You can enjoy a hybrid work environment, time in the office and time working from home. Competitive salary package of up to $156,308.54 (salary range $125,693.00 - $138,510.00).
