NGM Group Newcastle, New South Wales, Australia Service Management Specialist About the role As a ServiceNow Configuration Management Specialist, you will play a key role in developing, implementing, and optimising our Configuration Management Database (CMDB) within ServiceNow. This role goes beyond administration—you will act as the data and governance SME , ensuring that configuration management best practices are established and aligned with business needs. While ServiceNow Configuration Management is not yet in place , you will take ownership of its design, development, and governance framework, ensuring data accuracy and integrity. Collaboration is at the heart of this role. While owning your focus area, you will work closely with your team to support and enhance ITSM processes across the organisation. Additionally, you will provide training to end-users, ensuring compliance, reducing operational risks, and administering ITSM tools in both project and BAU environments. What will your key responsibilities include? Establish and maintain data governance frameworks for Configuration Management within ServiceNow. Define and implement policies, ensuring high-quality, accurate configuration data. Collaborate with stakeholders across IT and business to shape governance models and drive adoption. Work with our implementation partner to configure and optimise ServiceNow for future growth. Ensure compliance with best practices, performing audits and risk assessments as needed. Provide training and guidance to stakeholders, ensuring smooth adoption of governance standards. Progress to other areas of the ServiceNow platform as we expand its capabilities. What are we looking for? Strong experience in Configuration Management with a deep understanding of data and governance principles. Ability to identify, analyse, and solve problems proactively. Adaptability to work in a changing environment , balancing shifting priorities. Exceptional attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and consistency in data governance.
