We are actively seeking to appoint a dynamic experienced Roofing manufacturing Shift Supervisor to join our team at our Laverton North site in Melbourne's Western Suburbs, with proven ability to lead our team within the Roofing / Gutters / Jobbing & Flashings area. And so much more. About your new exciting role with us: You will supervise, lead and mentor our manufacturing/production team within flashings and jobbing. Manage the site production workflow to meet volume, capacity and deadlines via a great team. Allocate Labour resources to meet demand including recruitment of vacant positions. Drive the production team's performance, QA, Safety, and production success. Track and report the teams KPI’s, waste, folds, flashings, claddings, jobbing, coil adjustments, safety and compliance daily to meet afternoon shift quality, safety, and quantity requirements. Constantly train, develop and monitor the teams' skills, capabilities and safety in Flashings, Slitting, jobbing, Sheetmetal fabrication. Ensure output meets quality standards. Proactively encourage health and safety culture. Maintain high standards of OHSW and drive future Safety programs. Support the site manager to facilitate the creation of a high people performance culture through weekly meetings and one-on-one coaching and training. Collaborate with diverse stakeholders. About you: A dynamic people person who enjoys the challenges of people management in manufacturing within Sheetmetal. (Flashings, Slitting, jobbing) An extraordinary leader capable of navigating the production manufacturing environment with high standards of safety and quality assurance. A passion for team success. Minimum 3-5 years’ supervisory or management level experience within Sheetmetal / Flashings, Slitting, jobbing, fabrication related industry. Trade/Engineering qualification (or equivalent) highly regarded, but not necessary. Sound interpersonal, people management, organisational, and computer skills.
