Market Manager Silica Are you a passionate and driven individual with a strong background in sales and market development? Do you have a keen interest in domestic and international sales? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you! Heidelberg Materials is seeking a Market Development Manager to drive strategic growth for the Heidelberg Materials Silica Sand business located in Perth, Western Australia. In your new role with us, you will: Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve company targets. Identify and cultivate new business opportunities, including prospecting and building relationships with potential clients. Conduct market research to identify trends, customer needs, and competitor activities to drive innovation and market advantage. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, logistics, and marketing, to ensure smooth project execution and customer satisfaction. Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients, ensuring a customer-centric approach. Prepare and present sales proposals, negotiate contracts, and close deals to meet or exceed sales targets. Prepare regular sales reports and forecasts, analyzing performance and identifying areas for improvement. Arrange and schedule shipments with international suppliers. Coordinate between customs, shipping lines, and transport companies. Process and review shipping documentation for international shipping. Liaise with Port Authority, agents, and competitive vessels regarding berth. Prepare and update monthly reports. Build effective relationships with clients, stakeholders, and team members. This role is a great fit for you if you: Are a positive, energetic individual that is motivated to succeed in a dynamic environment. Have well-developed construction market knowledge (preferred); however, industrial sector awareness is advantageous. Have a keen understanding of international shipping, import, and export. Possess excellent comprehension of Australian Standards, Codes of Practice, and Guidelines. Have strong problem-solving skills. Are well-versed in using Microsoft Office programs. Have excellent communication and negotiation skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and stakeholders. Are self-motivated and results-driven, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Possess proactive problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and address customer needs effectively.
