We’re looking for a Specialist to join our high performing CTP Claims Team within our Retail Insurance Australia division. You will be responsible for conducting impairment assessments (e.g. Whole Person Impairment, Quality of Life, Injury Severity Value) for injuries sustained in motor vehicle accidents. This will involve reviewing and interpreting complex medical information and utilising your critical thinking skills to determine which injuries are causally related and need to be assessed. You will need to ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations and guidelines. You will work closely with stakeholders across the entire CTP claim lifecycle, such as Claims Consultants, Injury Management Advisors, and Technical Specialists to ensure high quality claims management. You will develop a sound understanding of Common Law Damages Claims and be involved in strategic discussions regarding claim strategy and non-economic loss entitlements. This role offers hybrid working, with flexibility to work from home up to four days per week. This is a 12-month parental leave contract based in Gadigal Country (Darling Park 2 Sydney). You will also demonstrate: Tertiary qualification/s in Allied Health Desired: Experience in CTP insurance or related industries Desired: Knowledge of the American Medical Association’s Guides to Evaluation of Permanent Impairment 4th and 5th Edition (AMA4 and AMA5) is highly desired Desired: Experience completing Whole Person Impairment assessment (relevant training will be provided) Ability to understand and interpret complex medical information Strong oral and written communication skills Excellent problem-solving skills and abilities to spot errors and inconsistencies About Us IAG is part of the largest general insurance group in Australia and New Zealand.
