Job Description
Supply and Distribution Manager (Artarmon NSW role) Farming and Trades Australia Greater Sydney Area We are looking for an experienced person to fill this role in our 100% Australian owned spice business. About the Role This is a unique opportunity for an experienced Supply and Distribution Manager to take ownership in developing, implementing and driving all the production planning and scheduling activities. There will be an element of developing the tools and frameworks, which are currently still in their infancy, to improve visibility and streamline processes. This role requires someone with a strong skillset working with Excel, as you will need to develop supplementary tools. Key aspects include: Develop and implement efficient purchasing and production plans to meet customer demand and optimize resource allocation to ensure efficient and cost-effective production. Forecast demand, manage inventory levels, and ensure timely delivery of products and materials both locally sourced and imported. Preparing and implementing plans to maintain required stock levels at minimum cost and forecasts. Negotiating with suppliers to meet quality, cost and delivery requirements. Monitoring and reviewing storage and inventory systems to meet supply requirements and control stock levels. Operating recording systems to track all movements of supplies and finished goods, and ensuring re-ordering and re-stocking at optimal times. Liaising with customers concerning requirements for outward goods and associated forwarding transportation. Overseeing the recording of purchase, storage and distribution transactions. Skills and Experience Minimum 3 years’ experience or Degree plus 1 year working experience. Previous experience building processes and tools from the ground up will be highly regarded. Strong proficiency with Excel. Ability to lead production meetings and collaborate with internal and external teams.
