Job Description

Job Title: Supply and Distribution Manager Base salary of $70,000 - $80,000 + Super Position Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Supply and Distribution Manager to oversee key supply chain functions. This position is responsible for managing supplier relationships, negotiating contracts and pricing, forecasting demand, and ensuring efficient order management. The role involves analyzing distribution data to identify trends and inefficiencies, while also resolving supply chain disruptions, product shortages, delays, and quality issues. You will also implement strategies to reduce waste, minimize excess inventory, and optimize storage space for operational efficiency. Key Responsibilities: Establish and maintain effective working relationships with suppliers to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of goods and services. Negotiate contracts, pricing terms, and delivery schedules to secure favorable terms for the organization while maintaining high-quality standards. Demand Forecasting & Order Management: Analyze historical data, market trends, and customer requirements to accurately forecast demand. Oversee the order management process, ensuring timely procurement and replenishment of materials or products based on demand forecasts. Data Analysis & Performance Improvement: Monitor and analyze distribution data to identify inefficiencies, trends, and opportunities for process improvement. Develop and implement solutions to streamline supply chain operations, improve service levels, and reduce costs. Problem Resolution & Supply Chain Disruptions: Address and resolve supply chain issues, including product shortages, delays, quality problems, and other disruptions. Collaborate with vendors, logistics, and internal teams to mitigate the impact of supply chain challenges. Implement strategies to reduce waste, such as improving inventory management practices, reducing overstocking, and minimizing obsolescence. Optimize storage space and inventory levels to ensure cost-effective and efficient use of resources. Competencies and Experience Required: 3-5 years of experience in supply chain management, with expertise in supplier relations, demand forecasting, inventory optimization, and data analysis. Strong negotiation, problem-solving, and process improvement skills. Proficiency in supply chain software and ERP systems to drive operational efficiency and cost reduction.
