Teacher - Secondary - Flexispace - Flagstone State Community College Teach Queensland (Organisation site)Flagstone State Community College - South East Region Flagstone State Community College is seeking to appoint an innovative and committed teacher to lead and implement our school's FlexiSpace program. Located in the Logan South West priority growth area, we are establishing a learning environment that promotes positive pathways to success, including through our Sports Development Program, Arts Excellence Program (Art and Dance), and Academic Extension Programs. Flagstone State Community College is seeking an experienced, innovative teacher to lead the delivery of the FlexiSpace program. This program offers students practical, scaffolded learning focused on real-world applications of foundational skills in the Australian Curriculum. The teacher of this program will have the ability to influence this innovative approach to teaching and learning in which the development of social and personal skills and confidence remains a central goal. Students participate short-term before returning to mainstream classes upon successful completion of the program. The ideal candidate is passionate about student-centred, project-based learning. Experience in curriculum design and practical teaching is desirable. Our FlexiSpace Lead will ideally be: An experienced teacher with expertise in, or knowledge of inclusive practice; or a teacher who is committed to rapidly developing their skills and knowledge of inclusive practice; Committed to ensuring students achieve quality educational outcomes by providing uninterrupted access to the curriculum; and high-impact teaching; Committed to differentiating teaching practice and educational program delivery to meet student needs; Committed to using and sharing inclusive teaching practices with all staff; Committed to working with parents/carers, internal support staff, and external agencies to support student learning, engagement, and wellbeing; Passionate about working with disengaged students and able to be flexible in approach with case management. This position includes additional non-contact time for student case management and engagement with community members and organisations. Applicants for these positions must possess: A relevant teaching qualification. Current full registration or current provisional registration with eligibility for full registration as a teacher in Queensland. Pre-service/graduate teachers must have been granted provisional registration prior to commencing employment as a teacher. In addition to registration, teachers working in Education and Care Services (including State Delivered Kindergarten programs) require an exemption card issued by Blue Card Services. Employment for pre-service/graduate teachers will be subject to the successful completion of a relevant teaching qualification and meeting the minimum requirements as a teacher with the department.
