Test Analysts (APS4), Digital Services Branch Salary: $72,973 - $82,080 (plus 15.4% superannuation and allowances) Location: Canberra and Adelaide Permanent positions; full-time or part-time (flexible working arrangements) The Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) is looking to fill several vacancies of Test Analyst (APS4) in various teams across the branch that support the dissemination of data through various Digital Services. These statistics are used by both governments and the private sector for a range of policy formulation and planning. About the roles 1. Test Analyst - Digital Experience (Canberra or Adelaide) Responsibilities depending on the role may include: Develop and manage tests and testing plans using a tool such as JIRA Undertake testing of digital products in the areas of compatibility and accessibility using a variety of tools Test, review, and communicate results to a variety of audiences, both technical and non-technical Identify and evaluate defects and escalate for resolution Contribute to a team for high performance 2. Test Analyst – Microdata Resources Section (Canberra) Responsibilities depending on the role may include: Support, test, and contribute to the ongoing development and enhancement of TableBuilder and supporting systems Stay informed about emerging technology and trends to inform system improvements Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for system optimization Establish and maintain strong relationships with data custodians, vendors, and technical experts Foster collaboration and knowledge sharing across internal and external stakeholders Act as a liaison between technical teams and end users to address any system-related issues What we are looking for (selection criteria) To be suitable you must have strong skills or experience in: Prioritisation and time management Written and verbal communication Working collaboratively in a team Additionally, you should have relevant skills or experience for the specific role(s) you are interested in: Test Analyst - Digital Experience: Demonstrated ability of functional testing – understanding user needs with an attention to detail Test Analyst – Microdata Resources Section: Demonstrated ability of user acceptance testing and system development, especially regarding data dissemination systems How to apply To apply, complete an online application form on the ABS e-recruitment system.
