We have an exciting opportunity for an exceptional Trade Mark Administrator to join our team based in either Melbourne, Sydney or Brisbane. You will act as a valuable team member to support the success of our Applied Marks business by assisting in case management, business development, day-to-day operation, and support functions. The role requires a meticulous, organized, excellent communicator and efficient operator who can manage and prioritise tasks. Key responsibilities include: Provide a high level of administrative and data entry support across a range of trade mark functions including database maintenance, renewals and docketing. Prepare and file Trade Mark applications in software systems. Liaising with clients to work together to protect ideas and brands. Process improvement to ensure systems remain efficient and best of breed. Preparing and following up correspondence with customers to ensure deadlines are met. Responsible for providing exceptional customer service with clients. Follow up client leads via various channels such as website, and reseller partner channels. Management of your work quality and ensuring appropriate quality control of work undertaken by you. Management of work timeliness and ensuring appropriate timing of work undertaken. Management of day-to-day activities and interacting with relevant professional and support staff members to achieve both your and Applied Marks’ short and long-term plans. Management of administrative functions, including recording of work-in-progress (WIP), and management of professional standard obligations. Participation, as requested, in marketing activities including the writing of blogs and case studies. Participation in appropriate professional organisations and other representative industry bodies to promote Applied Marks. Knowledge and Experience: Previous experience working in Trade Marks would be ideal but not essential. Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Intermediate level) particularly Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Outlook. A high level of accuracy and excellent attention to detail. Strong organisational skills to manage own workload and meet tight deadlines. Good written and verbal communication skills. High level of customer service skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication skills including active listening, asking questions for clarification and interpersonal skills like empathy and patience when dealing with external clients.
