Add expected salary to your profile for insights About the College: The Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RANZCOG) is the leading standards body responsible for the training and education of specialists and GP obstetricians in obstetrics and gynaecology in Australia and New Zealand.RANZCOG is committed to the establishment and maintenance of the highest possible standards of practice in women's health and provides programs in training, accreditation and continuing professional development (CPD) that are responsive to the evolving health care needs of women.RANZCOG supports research into women's health and acts as an advocate for women's healthcare by forging productive relationships with individuals, the community and professional organisations, both locally and internationally. This permanent full-time position is based in our Melbourne office located close to public transport and onsite parking available. This role contributes to ensuring the effective and efficient delivery of all RANZCOG accreditation activities relating to Fellowship, Subspecialty and Certificate and Procedural training programs. Key Responsibilities: Coordination of the RANZCOG accreditation and ongoing re-accreditation of tertiary, suburban and rural hospitals around Australia and New Zealand, which are accredited by RANZCOG as training sites for the FRANZCOG Training Program (i.e. the specialist training program leading to Fellowship of the RANZCOG). Development of and updates to the RANZCOG accreditation processes and guidelines, standards and criteria for the accreditation and re-accreditation of tertiary, suburban and rural training sites around Australia and New Zealand which are accredited by RANZCOG as training sites for the Certificate and Procedural Training Program (i.e. the training program leading to Certificate of Women’s Health (CWH), Associate Training Program (Procedural) (PTP), and Associate Training Program (Advanced Procedural) (APTP). Supporting the RANZCOG accreditation and ongoing re-accreditation of subspecialty training units for Certifications in Maternal Fetal Medicine, Gynaecological Oncology, Obstetrical & Gynaecological Ultrasound, Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility, and Urogynaecology. All aspects of organising accreditation visits, including liaison with relevant staff at each hospital and the appropriate health jurisdiction. Organising College panels (comprising Fellows of RANZCOG, trainee representatives and appropriate College staff) which conduct the above hospital visits. Operating as Staff Lead in accreditation visits (face-to-face and virtual via videoconferencing). Writing accreditation visit reports, and coordinating the report review and finalisation process. Coordinating the Progress Report review process, undertaken between reaccreditation cycles. Contribute to the evaluation of accreditation processes and systems. Contribute to the planning, implementation and continuous improvement of initiatives and policies relating to hospital re-accreditation as directed. Ko wai koe | About you - Key Selection Criteria The ideal candidate will have: Highly developed verbal and written communication skills, particularly in regard to report writing and correspondence. Experience in evaluation, research, accreditation or compliance in education. Demonstrated interpersonal skills including tact, patience and diplomacy; and the ability to liaise and communicate effectively with a wide variety of stakeholders, individuals and groups. Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail with the ability to prioritise and complete tasks within strict timeframes. Dedicated communication practices across stakeholders in order to improve services, enhance transfer of knowledge and promote strong internal and external relationships. Sound judgement and decision-making skills with the ability to problem solve. Excellent administrative and data management skills, particularly with respect to accuracy and detail. Expertise in the use of Windows-based PC applications with emphasis on database, word processing and spreadsheet software; MS Word, and Excel preferred. The ability to work without close supervision, as a member of a team, be enthusiastic and self-motivated. Ability to plan, organise and lead data collection and analysis activities. Well-developed analytical skills; the ability to collect and analyse information, problem solve and make decisions. Availability for occasional travel around Australia and New Zealand (with trips of two-three days’ duration). Qualifications A tertiary qualification or an equivalent combination of relevant training and/or experience in a senior organisational role, preferably in an educational or health setting. Capability to deliver well-written reports which support the intention of Quality Improvement across the accredited training locations.
