What you'll be doing: The VMO Claims Support Manager will provide strategic insight and high-level advice on VMO model utilization, conduct analysis on VMO Claim data, identify deficiencies in claiming, and provide advice to the Director Medical Services (DMS) regarding trends and benchmarking data across Southern NSW Local Health District (SNSWLHD). This role also involves identifying areas for further exploration, audit, education, and collaboration with Medical Officers, Medical Administration Units, and DMSs in case of conflicts or disputes. Minimum Requirements: Tertiary Qualifications (degree level), membership of and/or qualifications from professional bodies and/or significant experience in a similar role. Knowledge of current government policy and regulations, with the ability to maintain understanding of contemporary government policies, accounting and audit standards, and communication technology. Demonstrated ability to interpret and apply relevant legislation, policy and procedures, and make sound judgments on complex issues. Proven ability to build strong working relationships and problem-solve with a diverse range of people, including doctors, hospital management, and administration. Experience in the development and preparation of analytical data reporting with high-level interpretive summaries, conclusions, and recommendations. Demonstrated ability to prepare guidance material using contemporary platforms and lead groups to develop collegiate networks throughout SNSWLHD. Evidence of a current unrestricted driver’s license and the ability to maintain it, along with the willingness to travel as required, including long distances and overnight stays. Occupational Assessment, Screening and Vaccination against Specific Diseases: This is a Category ‘B’ position; all new employees must comply with NSW Health policy directive PD2024_015, including proof of vaccination against influenza for those entering any Residential Aged Care Facility (RACF) or who work in NSW Health owned and operated RACFs.
