Our nursing team consists of four qualified PT nurses and a junior nurse. One of our qualified nurses is headed to vet school in 2025, creating an opportunity for a qualified nurse to join the team. Equipped with standard up-to-date medical technology including ultrasound, digital imaging, dental x-rays, and a full suite of blood analysers. We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Part-time Veterinary Nurse to join our growing team. Key responsibilities include: Providing high-quality nursing care for patients during consultations, surgeries, and hospital stays. Assisting and supporting our veterinarians during surgical and medical procedures. Observing and monitoring patients' vital signs, including during anaesthesia, and reporting any changes or concerns. Administering prescribed medications, injections, and treatments as directed by the veterinarian. Assisting in the collection of samples (e.g., blood) and performing diagnostic tests, including lab work and imaging. Preparing patients for surgery, sterilizing equipment, and assisting during surgical procedures. Educating pet owners on treatment plans, preventative care, nutrition, and pet health. What you’ll bring: Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing preferred, but not essential. Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience. A good knowledge and understanding of veterinary nursing procedures.
