Veterinary Nurse - Greencross Townsville North Part-time We have a rare opportunity available for a Vet Nurse to join our Townsville team! Our four Greencross clinics in Townsville's north are looking for an experienced nurse to join the team. The role will offer variety and support as you will have the chance to work across the four clinics in the region. The Greencross Townsville group have a loyal, longstanding client base that are like family to us. These are supportive, knowledgeable, caring teams - we have lots of support to offer you in big friendly teams who all enjoy a good laugh! What are we looking for? Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing and 2+ years of clinical experience An extensive knowledge and understanding of veterinary nursing procedures Excellent communication and customer service skills Confidence in monitoring anaesthesia A calm, friendly, team player attitude Experience using RxWorks will be highly regarded Availability to work some Saturdays Ultimately, we want someone who is committed and eager to develop their knowledge and skills in a supportive and encouraging environment. What you’ll be doing each day: Undertaking general nursing tasks, including pre and post-operative care, animal pathology and emergency and critical care Performing minor procedures when required Caring, handling and cleaning all animals Maintaining the overall hygiene of the practice, including surgical areas and equipment Reception duties including being the first point of contact for clients, handling client enquiries in person and over the phone, scheduling appointments, managing client accounts, admitting and discharging patients Sound like your next role?
