About VicTrack's Transport Portfolio VicTrack owns and manages Victoria's transport land, assets, and infrastructure. Our focus is on strategic asset management and delivering better transport solutions. We play a significant role in the Big Build Program. The General Counsel Role As General Counsel, you will lead and manage our legal, compliance, and company secretarial functions. You will report to the Chief Executive Officer and be accountable for our legal activities and strategic direction. Key responsibilities will include: Managing a team of lawyers, compliance professionals, and company secretaries Setting and assessing performance goals, encouraging team spirit, and fostering professional development Providing expert and strategic legal advice to the Board and Executive Team Negotiating with multiple stakeholders, including State and local government, transport operators, contractors, and community groups Requirements and Skills To succeed in this role, you will need: 10+ years of commercial law experience in-house, with demonstrable team leadership experience in a complex multi-disciplinary environment A strong understanding of state government and infrastructure projects Demonstrated commercial experience and acumen, with excellent stakeholder management skills and communication and influencing abilities Why Join Us This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to our strategy and vision through your technical, leadership, and management skills.
