Position Summary: As a Senior Accountant / Client Manager, you will ensure the accurate and timely delivery of financial information. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in public accounting, strong technical expertise, and the ability to build and maintain client relationships. This role is pivotal in financial management, client advisory, and compliance, commonly found in public practice accounting firms, where professionals oversee financial reporting, tax compliance, and provide strategic business advice. Key Responsibilities: Develop and maintain strong client relationships, identifying growth opportunities. Prepare Financial Statements & Tax Returns. Stay updated on tax laws, regulations, and accounting standards. Advise on business structures, tax planning, and financial strategies. Assist the Senior Client Manager with client meetings and presentations on financial performance and strategy. Ensure high client satisfaction and service excellence. Assist in business development and contribute to firm-wide policies. Prepare and review complex tax returns (individual, corporate, partnership, trust). Ensure financial statements comply with AASB and taxation laws (GST, BAS, PAYG, corporate tax). Conduct financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting. Identify and implement process improvements for efficiency and service quality. Skills: Minimum of 6 years experience in public accounting, specialising in tax and financial reporting. Proficiency in accounting software Xero. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organisational skills. Exceptional attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Proven leadership and team management capabilities. High level of integrity, professionalism, and client-focused mindset. Identify & resolve client compliance issues. Strong understanding of business structures. Highly Proficient with Technology and Software.
