Your new role You will be responsible for the day-to-day management and continuous improvement of the School’s Work Health and Safety (WHS) Program including policies, procedures and initiatives to provide a safe environment for staff, students and visitors. You will champion a strong health and safety culture and provide WHS advice and support to managers and operational teams. This is a permanent, part time role, three days per week. Who will the successful applicant be? Tertiary qualifications (or equivalent experience) in workplace health and safety or a related field Highly experienced in identifying, documenting, assessing and managing WHS hazards, risks and controls in an operational environment Experience as a Return to Work Coordinator and managing workers compensation claims Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to develop practical, compliant and contextually appropriate WHS solutions Good interpersonal skills including the ability to communicate clearly, listen actively and respond respectfully Demonstrated ability to adopt a collaborative approach, foster effective working relationships, influence outcomes and gain commitment from others Initiative, ability and confidence to work independently with minimal supervision to progress agreed deliverables For a detailed position description and to apply, please click the "Apply Now" button below.
