Role details The Allied Health Department at the Mackay Base Hospital is seeking applications for a Workforce Development Officer to join their team on a permanent basis. Your opportunity This role is focused on ensuring MHHS Allied Health (AH) has a high quality, safe, and sustainable AH workforce (including the assistant workforce) that meets the healthcare needs of people accessing our services. Key activities of the role include working in partnership with AH Professional Directors and staff in the provision of advanced professional leadership and strategic direction for AH Safety and Quality, AH workforce analysis and planning, AH learning and development, and service planning for professions. The Allied Health Workforce Development Officer (AH WDO) role will have a portfolio(s) assigned to the role, e.g., providing leadership to the allied health clinical educator roles across the MHHS, with a focus on ensuring collaboration across the clinical educator roles to deliver both uni-professional and interprofessional education within the MHHS; safety, quality, and governance portfolio; data portfolio; strategy and innovation portfolio. The AH WDO reports to the Executive Director of Allied Health (EDAH).
