The Opportunity: Reporting to the Group Manager, Work Health & Safety, and working as part of a broader safety, risk and compliance team, this entry-level position offers a fantastic opportunity to develop your skills while making a real impact on workplace safety. You’ll assist in identifying, developing, coordinating, and implementing key WH&S initiatives across our 2000+ workforce, and 41 Depots and Branches across Australia. You’ll partner with our operational leaders and collaborate with an experienced team to assess, control, and monitor workplace hazards. Your responsibilities may include: Participating in risk assessments and exposure monitoring. Supporting incident investigations and workplace inspections. Assisting with injury management and compliance reviews. Contributing to maintaining records and updating WH&S documentation, in accordance with legislative and company requirements, including registers, risk assessments, meeting minutes, investigation documentation and other WH&S information systems. Assisting with audits, inspections, and other activities that support WH&S practice and continual improvement. Supporting the team on any adhoc duties including engagement with external stakeholders including customers, subcontractors, NHVR and Regulatory Bodies. About You / Potential Career Growth: Your passion for workplace safety, combined with your eagerness and willingness to learn, will make you a standout candidate. Whether you have already completed or are in the process of completing an undergraduate degree in Health, Safety, or a related field, you bring a mature, level-headed, and collaborative approach to this role. Your strong communication skills and ability to build positive, productive relationships will be essential in supporting our managers and employees in their daily operations, helping them navigate WH&S policies, procedures, and systems effectively. With the right skills and experience, this role can be a steppingstone to positions such as Safety & Health Advisor, Risk & Compliance Officer or Health & Injury Management Coordinator.
