Trusted by underground coal companies to continuously deliver, their industry-leading mining equipment and industry knowledge helps to safely and efficiently optimise production rates and critical supply chain processes.Core components of the role Coordinate all electrical services including overhaul, modification, maintenance servicing, and pre- / post-hire inspections of BIS Underground Services Fleet. Work with BIS personnel to determine workload and maintain electrical compliance of BIS hire fleet. Develop, implement, review, and audit all management systems and related documents for BIS Electrical Services Division. Develop, implement, review, and audit training packages, written work instructions, SWMS, work procedures, and risk assessments. Communicate safety-related material to the workforce. Investigate incidents, accidents, and equipment non-compliance. Assist Solutions Managers, Account Managers, and other BIS personnel in developing new business. Dimensions and Working Relationships Direct Reports: Electrical Services Division Team Leader. Indirect Reports: Electrical Workshop Tradesmen, Apprentices, and Trades Assistants. Key Responsibilities Promote and demonstrate commitment to Zero Harm. Maintain AS3800 and general electrical capability within BIS. Liaise with Workshop Manager to provide electrical service capability. Identify risks and devise mitigation strategies for existing and proposed contracts. Support operational managers in commercial negotiations and customer dealings. Maintain and communicate business processes/procedures. Conduct site-based audits and communicate compliance on agreed KPIs. Provide CMMS and additional systems training to personnel. Develop and maintain toolbox talks. Complete accident and incident investigations. Ensure business systems promote safe, reliable, and compliant services. Facilitate risk assessments, inspections, and audits. Maintain document control in compliance with BIS QMS. Develop and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders. Grow the Electrical Engineering Stream in line with BIS strategy. Investigate new technologies and customer solutions for business opportunities. Maintain an effective and engaged team. Conduct PEPs and develop succession plans for key roles. What you'll need to succeed Electrical Engineering education at Bachelor or Advanced Diploma level or Electrical Trade with Trainer Assessor, Project Management or Leadership qualification. Qualified Supervisor Licence - Electrical (NSW). 5 years' experience as an Engineer in an AS3800 workshop or mine site with exposure to maintenance of Ex components (essential). High level of computer literacy (including Advanced Excel and CMMS JDE preferred). The ability to meet deadlines and prioritise multiple tasks. Strong conceptual, analytical, and creative skills.
