Automotive Trades (Trades & Services) Full time $40 - $45 per hour Car Servicing & You has two fully equipped service centres that are licensed for RWC (LV/LP) and air conditioning service and repairs. We are also an independent tyre business with access to all brands. About You: The key focus of this role is to provide quality servicing and repairs for our customers in a team-based culture and environment that encourages training, best practice and transparency in automotive diagnostics, servicing, and maintenance. We are looking to employ an experienced and competent service-oriented senior motor mechanic/workshop supervisor to deliver quality results for our customers. This role will also assist the store manager as required. Our company is seeking a motivated individual with experience in servicing and repairing all makes and models of vehicles, as well as performing tyre services and wheel alignments. You are reliable, honest, punctual, hard-working, and self-motivated and prepared to get your hands dirty. Skills & Experience: Holding an RWC license and Air Con License with supervisory experience will see you earn at the higher end of our pay rates. Ideally, you will hold trade qualifications from a completed apprenticeship with a minimum of five years post apprenticeship experience across a variety of vehicle makes and models. Hold evidence of ongoing training and development you have completed. Experience in servicing and repairing a variety of makes and models. Repair, maintain and test motor vehicle and related mechanical components. Detect and diagnose mechanical and electrical faults in engines and related parts. Adjust, repair or replace parts and components of automotive systems including fuel system, brakes, steering, engine, emission control, exhaust, and electrical and electronic systems. Test and adjust repaired systems to manufacturer’s performance specifications. Perform scheduled maintenance service, such as oil changes, lubrications and tune ups. You are able to replace tyres, repair punctures, balance wheels, and align wheels. You are a team player and work well with others. Driven by performance and accountable results, you have an eye for detail. Transparency in reporting, comfortable using electronic workshop systems and utilizing company efficiency tools. You have your own tools. We envision the successful candidate will be ready to take ownership of their position from day one. We will assist with training and direction in our company systems and offer training and support for our staff through Automate. We provide workshop data through TAT, VACC (Haynes) and AutoData as well as manufacturer data. You must be customer-oriented, have excellent problem-solving skills and be focused on working efficiently in a workshop that achieves the best results for both profitability and customer satisfaction.
