Administration & Program Support Officer An exciting opportunity exists to join Early Childhood Australia as the Administration & Program Support Officer. About us Early Childhood Australia has been a voice for young children since 1938. We are the peak early childhood advocacy organisation, acting in the interests of young children, their families and those in the early childhood field. ECA advocates to ensure quality, social justice and equity in all issues relating to the education and care of children aged birth to eight years. ECA is the NT Inclusion Agency providing inclusion support to all eligible early childhood education and care services across the NT.ECA is also the Partner in the Community for the NDIS in the Darwin Urban Region. ECA runs several other bespoke programs across the NT including Envisage and gym 4 growth & development (g4gd). More information on our ECA NT website: About the Role The Administration & Program Support Officer is essential to the smooth operation of all three ECA NT offices. Reporting to the Administration Manager , you’ll provide front-of-house customer service, general office administration, and support across various programs and teams. In this role, you will also serve as the Work Health and Safety (WHS) Representative and provide HR administrative support , assisting with recruitment and onboarding. Key Responsibilities Include Managing office supplies, records, shared calendars, and correspondence across multiple sites. Overseeing office equipment and fleet vehicles, including maintenance and collating data for reporting. Supporting recruitment processes and assisting with HR tasks. Providing administration support, including scheduling meetings, preparing documents, and assisting with local events. Producing ECA newsletters and coordinating advertising campaigns. Offering basic IT support and monitoring office systems (printing, travel tracking, etc.). This role will require occasional travel between ECA NT offices and flexibility to assist in various administrative and program-related activities. This is a full-time, fixed-term role until 30 June 2026. About you Success in this role comes from being friendly and approachable, with a genuine interest in early childhood. There will be times when you’ll assist with on-site facilitation of programs, engaging with children and building relationships with families. A ‘can do’ attitude and a willingness to support the team when needed will help you thrive. If you're comfortable using various software packages and databases—and curious to learn even more—you’ll feel right at home. Sharing that knowledge with others and patiently guiding colleagues through systems challenges is an important part of this role. Strong organisational skills and previous administrative experience will be key, along with the ability to plan daily and weekly activities efficiently. A professional approach, attention to detail, and accuracy are all highly valued. The must-have’s Experience and confidence with office management software, particularly MS Office 365 Ochre card or the ability to obtain one A National Police Check will be conducted prior to commencement, and a current Ochre card must be held for the entire duration of employment with Early Childhood Australia. Additional Information Normal work hours: Monday to Friday, worked flexibly between 7:30am and 4:30pm. You may also be required to attend events outside normal working hours. Location: This role is based at the Berrimah office, with occasional work at our Coolalinga office. Salary: Level 2 of the ECA Enterprise Agreement - from $69,002 plus superannuation.
