Fixed term, part time (0.8FTE) position available until 31 December 2025. An exciting opportunity to enhance the University’s connections with graduates through communication and engagement initiatives. Reporting to the Alumni Relations Officer - Communications and working under general direction, the Alumni Engagement & Communications Assistant is responsible for building and strengthening the University’s relationships with its community of graduates and friends through communications and other engagement activities. This position supports the delivery of communications programs that increase alumni and donor engagement and affinity to the University and is responsible for creating content for Alumni News, Lumen, social media and other alumni communications platforms. The position also supports the work of the Alumni Relations Officer – Communications. To be successful you will need: Excellent written communication skills and experience in writing and editing content to engage a range of audiences. Highly developed interpersonal and presentation skills with diverse stakeholders and audiences that yield positive outcomes and productive partnerships. Commitment and a proven ability to work effectively across cultures with a broad array of stakeholders and staff at all levels. Demonstrated ability to promote the organisational values of integrity, respect, collegiality, excellence and discovery and a commitment to positively comply with the associated behaviour expectations.
