About the role We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Group Area Manager to help us continue to drive the success of our stores in Sydney. This is a role well suited to an aspiring retailer; someone who thrives in a team environment and has a very strong customer-service orientation. Someone who is a very good communicator, hardworking, well organised and would like to take their retail career to a new level. Being a privately owned and family run company, you'll work in a 'hands on' and supportive environment, where multi-tasking is the norm and continuous improvement is an integral part of our DNA. What will you do? Drive the ongoing sales focus, service standards and success of up to nine stores. Develop a high-performance team culture throughout your stores. Manage the full employment lifecycle of your team, while improving your existing human resource management skills. This includes the management of rosters and the optimisation of staffing levels. Business planning with your Store Managers including the coaching and development of all team members. Contribute to the development of training and development programs. Ensure the maintenance of nationally aligned retail standards and promotional activity, including compliance with Company policies and procedures. What skills and experience do you need? Proven history of achieving beyond personal and store targets and KPI’s. Outstanding leadership qualities and exceptional communication skills. Excellent people development, performance management and training skills. Excellent attention to detail with the ability to multitask. Ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment. Highly organised, deadline driven and proactive. Strong computer literacy with a minimum of intermediate Microsoft Office Skills. Must be self-motivated with an active 'hands on' approach and a 'can do' attitude. High level of professionalism and work ethic.
