Emerald North State School are seeking applications for a Head of Department, Student Services to join their leadership team. This role is offered on a temporary full-time basis, from 21 April 2025 until 12 December 2025, unless otherwise determined.Within This Role You Will Have The Opportunity To: Focus on initiatives to support the educational outcomes for students. Incorporate the vision of Early Childhood and State Schools Division into school planning. Develop the quality of teaching and learning. Nurture positive relationships between students, teachers and the community. About The Role: Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Work with Leadership team. Demonstrated ability to implement a whole school approach to Tier 1 Behavioural. Demonstrated ability to coach teachers and support staff through active engagement. Liaison with parents, teachers and students through our whole school positive engagement strategy. Provide leadership and guidance for the implementation of innovative measures aimed at improving student learning outcomes and attendance in schools where a significant percentage of students may have a disadvantaged background, ensuring quality learning outcomes for all students. Where requested, prepare all data returns for senior management. Monitor students' individual performance and behaviour and develop and implement intervention strategies where necessary.
