As the Hurstbridge Hub Development Officer , you will be responsible for providing customer service and administration for the Hurstbridge Community Hub, supporting its operation in line with Community Facilities policies and practices, and collaborating with the broader Youth & Community Development Unit to activate the Hub. You will also play a key role in fostering stronger community relationships through a place-based community development approach, while promoting and building the Hub's profile through inclusive marketing, promotion, and community engagement. What a typical day will look like; Providing customer service and administration for the Hurstbridge Community Hub. Supporting the operation of the Hurstbridge Community Hub, ensuring alignment to Community Facilities policies and practice. Working with the broader Youth & Community Development Unit to activate the Hub and strengthen community relationships using a place-based community development approach. Building the profile of the Hub using inclusive promotion, marketing and community engagement. What you will bring to the role; Diploma in Community Development or similar and/or previous experience in a similar position in community development or community facility support. Demonstrate behaviours in line with Council's Values with working with others including colleagues and the community - Respect, Integrity, Collaboration, Adaptability, Community. Demonstrated experience in integrated community facility support and working with broad stakeholder groups to create a community space that is welcoming, safe, active and inclusive. Excellent oral and written communication, customer service and administration skills with experience in MS Office, excel, web based applications, social media communications and electronic booking systems. Demonstrated experience in strength-based community development, working with stakeholders to support community led initiatives including place activation, program delivery and events. Demonstrated ability to manage time and work independently or as part of a broader team to achieve business unit and organisational goals. Why should you join us?
