If so, we want you to join our office and team up with a newly appointed Solicitor-in-Charge to manage the Legal Aid office in Orange and enhance the way we deliver services in our local community. About us Legal Aid NSW provides legal support in criminal, family, and civil law. We offer advice, court assistance, and family dispute resolution by phone or at our 28 offices. Legal Aid NSW has Australia’s largest family law practice, handling diverse and dynamic cases across all life stages. We help adults and children resolve disputes and achieve safe, workable family arrangements. Our services include legal advice, outreach, duty services, family dispute resolution, and case representation in Commonwealth family law matters and state care and protection cases across NSW. About the role You will support and advise the Solicitor-In-Charge (SIC) in operational matters to ensure the effective delivery of client services within a multi-disciplined and complex legal environment. You will manage and coordinate the administration team in a medium sized regional office to ensure client service activities are resourced and achieved. We may use this recruitment to create a talent pool for similar ongoing or temporary vacancies we have over the next 18 months. About you You will have extensive experience working in a busy and demanding environment, meeting tight deadlines, working collaboratively and managing conflicting priorities effectively. You will possess strong leadership skills and have the ability to demonstrate interpersonal skills in order to support the Solicitor In Charge to ensure the requirements of the role are met. Ideally, you will be someone who considers themselves to be highly organised and systematic in their approach to work. You will be proactive and enthusiastic about taking on varied tasks, in addition to being reliable and transparent in all aspects of your work. You will be passionate about leading a team to provide a high standard of client centred services, whilst also identifying and supporting the varied learning and development needs and goals of the team. About working in Orange The Orange office of Legal Aid is located in downtown Orange. The office is a busy mixed practice including specialist services which provides legal services to vulnerable people in Orange and surrounding towns in the central tablelands, including Bathurst, Lithgow, Cowra, Parkes and Forbes.
