About the Contract: Zinfra as a leading infrastructure services provider has been appointed as the new delivery partner for operations and maintenance (O&M) services on AusNet’s electricity distribution network, replacing the incumbent provider, Downer as of 1 August 2025. The Distribution Operations and Maintenance Agreement (‘DOMSA’) will see more than 500 field and office team members transition across from Downer into Zinfra at the commencement of the contract in August 2025. We will support AusNet’s strategic vision through our ‘one distribution delivery’ (OneDx) platform coupling our industry experience with lessons from past productivity programs to provide a cost-effective solution that does not compromise safety, people or quality. About the role: Zinfra has commenced a mobilisation project team with representatives from across the Group working as subject matter experts to ensure a smooth transition. As the Operations - Project Stream Lead, you will partner with the General Manager – OneDX and bring vision and operational leadership to ensure Zinfra is ready to deliver planned work and respond to faults on Day 1. Key Responsibilities will include but not be limited to: Lead operational planning, delivery process readiness including development of a transition plan to ensure mobilisation deliverables are achieved Work closely with other Project Stream leads such as Digital, Inventory, Sub-contractors and Safety to support project deliverables Collaborate with leadership teams to develop the annual Operational Plan Assist in defining goals, roles, and structures for the Delivery teams and Depots to empower local leaders and employees Develop Safety, Quality, Environmental and Emergency Management Plans, in conjunction with subject matter experts within Zinfra Review and transition operational procedures and practices, ensuring alignment to Zinfra standards About You: This role is a full-time contract position or secondment for current employees of Zinfra of up to 12 months. You are results-driven with a passion for operational excellence, who builds strong collaborative relationships. Your strong technical expertise will build confidence with the incumbent workforce and client and demonstrate Zinfra’s capability to be operationally effective from Day 1. Key Requirements: Extensive operational experience in delivering Electricity Distribution maintenance, faults and planned works. Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, effectively engaging with clients and teams. Ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining a calm and professional demeanour.
