Division: Strategy Policy and Commissioning Location: Parramatta, NSW, AU, 2150 Policy & Projects Officer Employment type: Temporary full-time role up to 16 January 2026 Salary: $110,266.00pa to $122,058.00 pa, plus employer's contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading Your role We are looking for passionate, self-motivated and collaborative candidates, who bring project, policy, critical thinking and contract management skills to deliver projects and initiatives to support building sector capacity and delivery of best practice DFV perpetrator interventions. You'll work as part of a collaborative team and subject matter experts committed to support the growth of a capable DFV perpetrator interventions sector in a hybrid work environment. What you’ll do As part of the DFV Perpetrators Intervention team you will contribute to the implementation of the NSW Government’s Men’s Behaviour Change Program (MBCP) program of work. This includes the NSW Government MBCP Practice Standards and Compliance Framework, MBCP program funding and sector development initiatives. Deliver contract management, monitor and evaluate provider performance and ensure compliance to promote performance and enable service delivery improvements to client outcomes. Contribute evidence-based analysis and advice on service delivery gaps, high risk services funding decisions that contribute to service improvements. Provide evidence-based advice to support service planning and delivery, including negotiations and consultation with providers, community, service users and other stakeholders, to enable informed decision making and maximising client outcomes. Build collaborative key stakeholder relationships through provision of expert advice and assistance in developing the capability and capacity of service providers, organisations and other agencies to respond to sector reforms and initiatives and implement service improvement strategies. Undertake research, analysis and interpretation of relevant data to inform planning, purchasing and contracting services and work with funded organisations to adapt existing procedures. Contribute to complex documents including submissions, briefing notes and discussion papers in response to Ministerial and agency requests. Manage and evaluate projects to ensure alignment with relevant work plans, business strategies and organisational objectives. What we’re looking for In addition to meeting the essential requirements, the successful candidate will: Be a good negotiator with demonstrated experience in relationship management and contract management processes. Be innovative and client focused in the delivery of services and how you promote change in the sector. You must have demonstrated high level communication, decision making and project management skills. Have demonstrated understanding of the criminal justice system as it relates to domestic violence and/or the domestic violence service system. Have demonstrated understanding of domestic violence perpetrator interventions in the human services sector, in particular, Men’s Behaviour Change Programs. Have experience with the contract management and delivery of programs and initiatives that support the domestic violence service sector. Have project management and related administrative skills to support project delivery and policy development including, sound written communication skills, critical thinking skills and a proven ability to identify and manage risks effectively and maintain appropriate record keeping.
