The Opportunity The Regulation Directorate sits within the Transport Policy and Regulation Division and is responsible for driving the Government’s regulation and policy initiatives and ensuring appropriate compliance, behaviour and safe access across our transport networks. The Project Coordinator, Driver Training Industry Reform, is responsible for project managing the delivery of the Government’s reform of the driver training industry. The position will report to the Manager, Driver Licensing Standards and will provide oversight and drive reforms including development and implementation of new systems and products across a number of different streams including IT based platforms, procurement and integration of mobile electronic systems, training materials, service delivery frameworks, finance, and legislation and policy. About You We are seeking a dynamic Project Coordinator who is leading and implementing innovative solutions, managing change while working under broad direction. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in influencing sensitive negotiations, effectively engaging stakeholders, and demonstrating a strong commitment to customer satisfaction. Superior writing skills are essential, enabling the delivery of clear and concise advice tailored to diverse audiences. This role requires highly developed analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a proven track record in advising on and creating specialised and innovative solutions, processes, and discipline related policies. Comprehensive knowledge of the issues, risks, trends, and directions associated with delivering significant reform particularly within social, economic, and commercial contexts is crucial. The successful candidate will deliver customer focused and strategically aligned services, articulate complex concepts through precise verbal and written communications, and adeptly engage with stakeholders to navigate sensitive matters. Additionally, high level experience in leading, motivating, and influencing staff to drive and evaluate work objectives, ensuring improved service performance across strategically aligned functions, is required.
