About the role and you: The Senior Project Manager plays a crucial role at Sequana in planning, executing, and overseeing projects for our customers within our organisation. The Senior Project Manager’s responsibilities include leading and delivering small, medium to major scale projects and exceeding our clients’ expectations. The Senior Project Manager will proactively support the national team, constantly seeking to improve the way we deliver service to our clients and colleagues. What you'll do: Responsible for defining project scope, goals, and deliverables, developing detailed project plans, managing project dependencies, and creating risk management strategies. Responsible for leading and delivering small, medium to major scale projects to the agreed commercial, schedule, and quality systems. Lead multi-disciplinary project teams, mentoring and developing and retaining top talent. Communicate project objectives, status updates, and milestones to stakeholders and team members. Facilitate meetings, including kick-off meetings, status meetings, and project reviews. Prepare and deliver regular project reports to senior management. Allocate and manage project resources, including personnel, budget, and equipment. Coordinate with department heads to ensure availability of necessary resources. Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, understanding their needs and expectations. Evaluate project outcomes against established goals and performance metrics. Conduct post-project assessments to identify lessons learned and areas for improvement. Experience you'll need: Tertiary qualifications or similar relevant qualifications. Minimum 10 years of industry experience, with proven experience as a Project Manager, with the ability to manage a diverse portfolio of functions whilst maintaining a focus on critical issues. Solid understanding of the Water Sector. Strong knowledge of project management tools and software. Excellent organisational, communication, and leadership skills. Sound understanding of integrated management systems encompassing quality, safety, and environmental aspects. Budgeting skills to manage time effectively and competing priorities. Ability to perform under time pressure whilst providing high-quality outcomes in every aspect of work. High level of business and personal ethics. Proven commercial acumen including contractual management, tenders & bids, legal & procurement activities. Strong negotiation and conflict resolution abilities.
