The Clinical Nurse Educator (CNE) provides coordination, delivery, and evaluation of clinical nurse education (including programs) at the ward/unit level. Such education may include orientation and/or transitioning for new nursing staff, undergraduate, and casual nurses as well as meeting the ongoing educational needs of existing nursing staff. Understanding of teaching and learning in the healthcare environment (adult learning principles). Demonstrated clinical teaching & facilitation skills. Demonstrated knowledge of competency attainment and assessment. Demonstrated recent educational experience in an acute care facility within the specialty of cancer services.
