    About the position
    In terms of food, Wests New Lambton is home to multiple dining options. With a selection of restaurants, as well as the Wests Food Court offering traditional Club food offerings and modern options including the Bistro and New Beijing to cater for all. Our busy food court now has an opportunity for a casual Chef to join the team.
    Responsible for the preparation, cooking and presentation of all food items across our food outlets and restaurants. Duties will include: Ensure prep sheets are completedPreparation of high quality food during serviceAssist other sections when requiredCleaning of work areasAssist with the set-up and close down of serviceEnsure food is stored to hygiene standardsEnsure appropriate disposal of waste This position will require availability for split shifts for breakfast, lunch and dinner serviceAs part of The Wests Group recruitment and assessment process, all candidates progressing to the next stage will be required to complete relevant due diligence and probity checks specific to the role.     We are seeking an energetic team player with a passion for food and good service. You pride yourself on presentation & consistency. Experience in fast paced kitchen, strong cooking skills with trade qualifications (Cert III / IV in Commercial Cookery) , will be highly desirable. You will be available to work nights, weekends and be flexible to assist with all catering operations across the site.
